Plot:
The Panem civil war, is finally over. After several centuries of oppression and 75 years of the Hunger games, the 13 districts of Panem have asserted their autonomy and allowed prosperity to extend further than the capitol... But the people still aren't happy. After 75 years of seeing their children sent out to die in the sick sport known as the hunger games, many people of the districts seek vengeance upon the organisers and beneficiaries of the games. Most of those have already been locked up and some have been executed for their crimes against humanity, but even this is not enough.
Shortly after the fall of the Capitol, which many consider to be like the worst parts of the hunger games, the idea was proposed for one final hunger games featuring the children of those who sat at the top and sent others into them.
Your parents have both been arrested, most of your family is in prison and you have been put into confinement ready for the final test.
You are raised up onto the platform, you see in the centre, a shabby mock-up of a Cornucopia, just a windmill surrounded by crates. In a circle around it, 20 other people around your age, some of whom you knew in School, maybe were friends with. But you know that in order to survive, you will have to kill them.
Game rules:
-You will start with only a knife, a GPS and the clothes on your back
-The cornucopia will contain a wealth of supplies, weapons and other things that are useful
-If you choose to run from the cornucopia, fret not, there is other stuff around the map.
-The game will be run at 12x speed at daytime and faster at night (Yes, there will be day/night cycles although nights will be shorter than days)
-Only one life (Of course)
-Guns may not come with ammo in the same crate, although if there is a gun there will be ammo for it close by
-Be careful about what you choose to pick up, you have limited inventory space and not everything is useful/functional. Beware of anachronisms.
-Some kids were obsessed with the hunger games and have formed their own career pack. Because of this, they will be spawned away from the Cornucopia (They are AI) and they have significantly better equipment, be especially careful of them. (You'll know them when you see them)
-The gamemasters have watched 75 years of children being sent to their deaths. So beware of vengeful sadistic traps and the like.
-Because this is vengeance for the hunger games, there doesn't need to be a winner. So try anything like Katniss did in Hunger games 74 at your own peril.
Player rules:
-When you spawn in, do not move AT ALL until the signal has been given
-Immediately activate your GPS. This has been given to you to ensure that you can always see if you are close to the map border
-Do not exit the map. Doing so will cause you to instantly forfeit the games and probably be killed. Panem is a bit poor Atm because we just went through a civil war so building a full barrier is a bit expensive.
-Teaming up is allowed, however making a team prior to the games is not. If you want to form a team, you'll have to take the risk of asking someone at the time possibly in the heat of battle, and of course if you want the games to have a winner, you're going to have to kill them in the end.
-Looting other players is allowed, but do not loot the career tributes. They have significantly better weapons and the game is balanced around them being in the hands of AI, so do not loot the careers. And again, you'll know them when you see them.
-When you die, you will be put into spectate mode. You can choose to leave at this point but you may miss out if the gamemasters decide to revive you to fuck with the remaining tributes.
Other things of note:
-WW2 modpack.
-Most things you find have been balanced, don't ask the Zeus "Can I do this" because if you are capable of doing something it's probably been planned for so go ahead
-Once the games started, there can be no late joins
-The winner gets the right to make premium suggestions for the next games if I decide to make one.
