The date is December 5th 2020.
Since the Annexation of the Crimea in 2014, Russian political influence over its bordering nations has steadily increased over the past 6 years. Effectively making a new Eastern Bloc.
While NATO is not overly concerned in the loyalties of eastern European nations, recent reports confirming the Russian federation investing a lot of money into the CDF has become a source of major concern.
To be blunt, they think Chernarus may or at least it in the process of becoming Russians puppet. this posses serious risks such as this would level the playing field in naval location within the black sea. the UK,USA and France have collectively agreed on an invasion of Chernarus. the Uk has been given the task of invading South Zagoria.
You are a Special Operation team under the UKSOF. and are tasked in disrupting enemy military functions in the eastern part of South Zagoria. this includeds.
-Destroying infrastructure
-disabling comunications
-Killing officers, destabilising there command structure
-Mining common routes to send QRFs.
this is a preempitive operation, before a larger naval invasion of cherarus.
also, at this time there is an envoy of the crown (a player) in the city of Berizino. he is there to keep the act up that there is no immanent attack, he will do his best to make sure the Enemy doesn't do anything to rash (mount a full search) before you can leave.
do note, that if you are captured you do not work for the crown in any capacity. your cover for now is as international hunters. that should get you through most questioning.
NOTES:
Playable parts:
there are 3 part of this mission.
1- the saboteurs, this is most of the player base.
2- the envoy, this is a RP only player, so to win your part you must be a good negotiator, thing to keep in mind, not only will the stealth of the others keep the operation form Turing south. but your ability to persuade the cherno diplomat (me) to not suspect anything.
3- the Guard/interrogator. this is another RP player, if i haven't selected no one for this role a last minute filler can be used. your mission is get reports of recent activates and coordinate patrols, in an attempt to catch the SF guys. if you do get one (or many) you will have to interrogate them and get a confession out of them. that will be how you will persuade the cherno diplomat (me) to get the military involved. so in a sense you are playing against the envoy. you gotta get the truth, and the envoy has to lie through his teeth. all in attempt to persuade me.
Mission elements:
Capture-if your ordered to stop, then the most likely the soldiers dont want to kill you, just ask questions. so stop when ordered. you can retaliate if your being detained but be warned the more engagements you get into, the harder for the envoys job will be.
Escape: when captued you will be taken to a prison, the inside of the cells will be a safe zone, so you wont be shot at as long as you are inside. you can try escape but the warden can catch you and shoot you. in the prison complex its self will be a room where your stuff will be held. you can choose to go for it.
Interrogation: the warden is trying to get your info, the more he has the easier it will be for him to persuade me to get more men. of corse the envoy (if he is a god teir RPer) can counteract any progress the warden made. but we all know that arma isn't a torture simulater so im gonna give you some stakes. if you die in custody, then you wont come back, so the warden has the option to let you bleed out slowly to get some info. audio torture is allowed (but no rick rolling, we are soldiers not monsters)
Questioning:
police and national guard will pull you over at checkpoints and if your found in the woods. you are to stop when asked and answer questions. keep up your act your international hunters (or what ever cover you wish but it has to be believable) if you are not shot at, it means you wont be shot at. so dont start fights all willy nilly.
Death:
if you die as an operator, you can come back. but if you die as a prisoner you wont. but dont be sad ill bring you back as something else. maybe a nosy civy or a guard. but dont think that you cna just choose to die and avoid interrogation. because that will ruin the fun for the warden and everyone else.
