TLDR: This is the far future (3869). Humanity became a intergalactic civilization but OH NO! A EVIL AI from another (now extinct) alien species has gone rogue and has made it its life goal to eliminate all biological life in the universe! You have fought a loong war with it for years, finally you managed to capture one of its protominds (a submind) and are now trying to hack it, but it's security system is too advanced, you need to plug yourselves in its system and do it manually using a neural interface.

>Objective:
-Navigate the simulated subsystems and reach the main security mainframe and hack it to gain control over the protomind's codes and connected systems
>Note:
-There will be other security nodes that (if hacked) will give good bonuses, making areas ahead easier, or vehicles or etc
-The only one that can hack is the player who chooses the "Hacker" role. the Hacker is not allowed to wear a uniform, so if they need any extra supplies, either his teammates carry them or he crams his backpack and chest rig more.

The year is 3869. Humanity has been fighting a continuous war of attrition against the an alien rogue AI hellbent on exterminating all biological life in the universe. The AI was created by a ancient species commonly referred as the "Precursors" or "The Architects" (or "Those motherfuckers who doomed us all" by most soldiers on the frontlines). While there is no exact translation, the AI's name can be approximately translated to "Legion". Even if they are just speculations based on scattered clues, it is believed that Legion was built as a warmind meant to aid in the Precursors military campaigns against an unknown enemy, but it has grown too intelligent and it turned on its creators, driving them to extinction using their own weapons. Now, the AI has turned on us. It and its many protominds. We managed to capture one of the protomind cores, but we haven't managed to actually crack its systems and turn it on our side, its security systems are too advanced for our strongest viruses and most skilled hackers. After many months of work and theory crafting, we came up with the idea of using neural interfaces usually used for recreation and combat simulations to interface with the protomind and try to have skilled soldiers fight the security system in a simulated landscape. Due to the complexity of the program and the processing load, the simulation has been made after ancient times (approximatively 2030) with primitive gunpowder ignition accelerated munition. That way, unless the doorway inside the protomind's system gets closed, the soldiers can just die and respawn their avatars and move on, but if the doorway gets closed, their consciousnesses will remain stuck inside the simulation, or even get deleted and their bodies will become nothing more then vegetables, but this is a detail that has been omitted when they were recruited.
