Event Countdown
Situation:

After you successfully contested the Panichori valley, UAF forces withdrew and fled east. The pacification of the area was easy enough, since Panichori was not one of their strongest areas. They never planned on being pushed out of Kavala so soon, however this may mean the further east we go, the more entrenched and prepared the UAF will be.

Briefing:

You are to the Zaros flats, a large open area, nested in the Zaros hills, mountain ranges to the west and the coast to the west. The Zaros flats area encompasses 3 major population centers. Zaros, Therisa and Poliakko. Your objective is much like the Panichori valley. Move in and contest the area. Drawing out and engaging the enemy anyway you can.

While you are granted the freedom to conduct your operation independently. The Godfather has been so kind, as to list a few things. You may wish to take it into consideration.

First and foremost, Establish a FOB. This is where you will be the safest and where you can effectively send out patrols, and launch attacks.

Secondly, Interacting with the civilian population, the further west we go, to more sympathizers we may come across, we need to convince them we are better than them. Ask around for information about insurgent activity, but also ask them about their lives. Is there running water, what issues are there. That you can possibly solve. Hearts and minds people.

Third, patrol. The enemy is where you are not. So the more patrols you have, the less room the insurgent has to breath and move. Makes things easier for you, because as you sit around, the enemy is moving MGs into killing zones, and building trenches that will keep you occupied while they filter in more guys on your flanks. The Insurgent is ill-equipped but that doesn't make him stupid. Patrols will also help you get info yourselves. You may stumble across an enemy camp or find some caches. Bread crumbs lead back home.

Last but not least, attack the enemy. After you get intel, figure out what you can do with it. Pursue all avenues until it ends in a firefight where you win and they lose. But try not to get hit first, try to lure them out, so they think they have the upper hand.

ROE:

Don't fire unless fired upon, and PID your targets. Civilians have taken to carrying their own weapons to fend off rural gangs and rowdy UAF members.

You must get permission from godfather, to enter any building that has intact doors. You don't want to burst in on Nana while she is having her afternoon tea.

You must mark all mines you place on the map.

You must get permission from godfather to call in heavy artillery. The mortars and CSW weapons need no such permission.

Report everything. Failure to report frequently to godfather may hinder his decision making, things like authorizing support assets is included in such thinking.

Assets:

CAS- Zeus
Howitzers- Fire observer
Mortars- Fire observer
CSW- HMG, light mortar, GMG etc-players
Armed and unarmed HUMVEs
Medical M113

And more.

Recap:

Greece has been embroiled in civil war. Multiple opposition groups, from anti government parties. Hellenic nationalists to blatant armed terrorists have formed a surprising stable alliance known as the UAF (United Aegean Front). Claiming 230 islands in the Aegean sea, as sovereign territory. As Well as sending armed groups to the mainland, causing havoc and destroying key infrastructure and government buildings. These current events have put strain on the Greek government. The organized and spread out insurgents within the Aegean has provoked Turkish forces to act outside their own waters. Blockades have already been established, slowing down any oversea deployment of Hellenic troops. And threats of direct intervention on the islands raise tension on the world stage. Most speculating that Turkey aims to use the UAF to take, or at least get significant control of the Aegean islands, increasing their influence.

You are part of a US marine expeditionary force sent to aid the Hellenic armed forces with retaking key Aegean islands. You are currently stationed on the island of Altis. Slowly moving east, reasserting government rule.

Ground rules for the Opfor
you can do thing without direction of the Zeus. however you are limited by not being able to kill players, you can lay IEDs etc. you just can not actively kill players.
so harassing players is A ok, sniping them or supressing them etc. as well as ghosting them, or pretending to be civis and pestering them.

but you can kill players if i give the ok, this will be rare but if i want a tense fight to happen. i will let opfor kill actively as to make the players cautious.
