ATTENTION!
This mission involves IEDs that are supposed to be difficult to spot. Don't be a mong, keep your grass on.
Situation:
After evacuating from Sangin two months ago, ISAF forces have returned and set up a permanent base, the ANA has also set up a fortified police station in the centre of Sangin city. While insurgent forces have largely left the city, they still occupy the surrounding farmland and compounds, causing trouble for ISAF, ANA and locals alike. In hopes of garnering public support, ISAF forces have begun high profile foot patrols of the city and surrounding areas to reassure the Afghan populous.
Mission:
HQ has orders from Bastion to conduct clearance patrols around the outskirts of Sangin, looking for and eliminating any enemy presence. As such, Alpha, Bravo and Charlie sections are to conduct a foot patrol of the local area. A counter IED team has also been attached to the platoon to deal with IEDs and legacy munitions left after the Taliban's withdrawal. Be on the lookout for Taliban IEDs, ambushes and mortar attacks.
Supporting Assets:
