We have been ordered to perform a patrol up a section of the Mekong River. Intel suggests large amounts of Viet Cong movement not far from here, and they seem to be using the river as a method of moving troops and supplies.
You will be moving north in our PBR boats towards Che. You will see on your maps several locations of interest. You are to dismount from the boats to investigate all of them.
You will have access to a number of PBR boats. We can provide no air assets due to the threat of Anti-Aircraft in the area. We also have no artillery available, as all our big guns are currently engaged in bigger scale fighting up north.
We do not expect much in the way of enemy armour or artillery. There may be some amount of mortars, but for the mostpart the VC in this area are supplied with whatever they can carry or steal.
Be on the lookout for booby traps and mines. VC in this area is rather a fan of trapping buildings and the like.

- Kiem Tra - Destroy Boats. We believe this point is used to store and transport gear. Investigate the area and destroy any boats and weapons you find.
- Lonquy - Contact Reported. A patrol passing through the area 24 hours ago claimed to see movement in the village. The village was supposedly evacuated back in '65. Clear the village and look for VC and equipment.
- Nuoc Bun - Possible Troop Movement. Check around for any VC.
- Bi Mat - Contact Reported. There are WW2 Era Japanese Fortifications here. Intel suggests VC movement here.
- Che - Anti-Aircraft Location. Just north of the Japanese Fortifications is an abandoned radar post. We had one of our F-100's take fire from an AA gun there. Destroy the gun.
