Tldr: The insurgents have provoked a full NATO intervention, time to field test some new prototypes on them.
Notes:
The Russian peace keeping efforts on Tembelan island have recently started going downhill, their forces are outgunned and undersupplied against a rapidly strengthening insurgency. While this would not be NATO's problem the resistance has started acting very aggressively against NATO units. A recent shoot down of a US drone along with reports that the old soviet era nuclear weaponry has been reactivated has forced our hand, the resistance must be destroyed. We're deploying a section of the Special Operations and Research Platoon to Tembelan island, along with our most recent night observation equipment we're equipping your team with the brand new XUGV 2 Super Stomper to provide highly mobile fire support against all types of targets. We expect you to handle this situation quickly and with no losses, good luck.
Notes:
- Russian forces are neutral, keep it that way.
- This op features experimental gear like autonomous drones and IR NVGs at night, you have several advantages against the resistance but they have overwhelming numbers.
- The drone is a heavily modified UGV Stomper, it's recommended to have 2 people operating it in combat.
- If required you can call in fixed wing air support.
- Secure nuclear weapons
- Stop NATO secrets from leaking
- Destroy the insurgency
- Deploy to the location where we've stored a experimental drone and reactivate it
- Attack resistance targets while moving quickly
- Move to a known Russian peacekeeper base and make contact
- Secure nuclear weapons before the resistance acquires them
- Find and salvage a NATO drone that was shot down
- Destroy any bases used by the insurgency to permanently crush them.
