Event Countdown
Objectives:
- Clean the main road
- The main enemy positions are marked on the map
- The objectives are numbered but they may be completed in any order (but I suggest you respect the order unless you want to suffer)
Side Objectives:
- To be communicated if they come up
Known enemy assets:
- Light presence of Heavy vehicles
- Medium and Light vehicles
- Helicopters
- Short-range and long-range artillery (preranged)
Friendly assets:
1x Husky for repair1x TOW Humvee
1x MG Humvees
4x Unarmed Humvees
1x Friendly (AI) Chinook for various tasks
Notes:
- You will be fighting against CSAT with both heavy and light vehicles, as well as helicopters
- They know you are coming and will most certainly throw everything and the kitchen sink to keep you away
- They have preranged long-range artillery, but we have an artillery radar so there will be forewarning if they fire at you
- They also have mortar positions but there will be no warning of when they fire outside of ranging shots
- Lost vehicles do not respawn (except arma moments)
- The starting time is 315 hours. The sun will rise at about 4 so it won't be night for the entirety of the operation
Story:
You are the vanguard force of an aid convoy headed to provide relief to a friendly force pinned down and cut off. Your objective is to punch through the enemy fortifications in Lybor, clean the two camps on either side of the river, and make way for the aid convoy to push through and deliver their cargo to the pinned friendly forces.They know we are coming, so our preparations were a bit hasty so friendly vehicles are light and there are no friendly assets available to assist. To prevent them from fortifying too much and making the mission impossible, you are sent way ahead of the convoy as early as possible.
The only friendly assets we could mobilize for this operation were a chinook, a husky equipped to aid in battlefield repairs, 2 armed humvees (1 TOW 1 machinegun), and 4 unarmed humvees.
Expect the enemy to use artillery against you. Both long-range and short-range. We can expect the long-range guns to be preranged so we will try to offer you as early a warning of their arrival as possible.
We don't expect enemy jets to cause any trouble due to friendly air superiority fighters. But enemy helicopters can fly low enough to not be targeted, so expect them to make heavy use of helo support.
