TLDR: You're US Army in Ukraine hunting after the rest of the half competent Russians left in Ukraine with CAS and arty.

Objectives

-Locate and extract the journalists.
-Clear out both towns and their surrondings.
-Search nearby FOB for intel, DO NOT bomb it until the intel has been extracted.
-(Optional) Those farmers are getting good harvests of IFVs and MBTs, join in on the fun and take a propaganda photo to send home.

Notes

  • Available fire support assets include: 1 JAS 39 Gripen (AAM, AGM, LGB, CBU, UGB), and 4 M109 Palading SPGs (zeus controlled, HE, cluster, smoke, laser guided, AT minefield)
  • The JTAC must provide grid coordinates and may designate if asked by the pilot or artillery crews. BDA must be provided by the JTAC.
  • The AO has been mostly evacuated. No strikes are to be authorized on targets with civilians nearby, damage to civilian infrastructure should be minimized, though avoiding personnel casualties comes first.
  • Fighter weaponry is quite limited, use the free reloads and pylon customization at base often.

Briefing

After a Russian strike against Romania the call has been made, NATO has joined the Ukraine war and our first objectives are to wipe out the remnants of the best trained and equipped Russian units currently in Ukraine. They are located inside 2 heavily fortified towns and a nearby FOB, they have hostages and are waiting for us. To deal with this threat a JAS 39 Gripen from the Swedish air force and a team of 4 M109 Paladins has been assigned to your unit. The pilots job will be to provide CAP, CAS, and scout. The SPGs are on standby to soften up any heavily defended areas before you engage, good luck.
