Following the striking success of the first attack on the Russian defending forces that resulted in the capture of the local communication array, liberation of the towns of Sofia and Molos, capture of the russian command FOB we have managed to seriously hurt the Russians, but also incite a massive retaliation attack .
Following the capture of the command FOB, there have been two captains and one lieutenant killed and one major captured, currently still being interrogated. A lot of information about the military installations and other facilities has been extracted, the location of 2 hidden AA installations has been revealed, as well as information on the recently defeated insurgent movement and the location of a secret research facility. Further information pending.
A proper infantry invasion force has yet to be sent, for now only the Badger special forces teams operate in the AO. Estimated time until reinforcements arrive: T-5 Days. Preparations for their arrival are on the way.
Construction on an Artillery Firebase are on the way, estimated project completion: T-3 Days. Currently there are 2 artillery guns operational and, if needed, available for fire missions.
The 501st fleet is still stationed on site until the reinforcements arrive and are fully set up. Maria’s planes and UAVs are still doing attack or scouting missions.
The prospect of attacking the prisons where the insurgents are locked up is still under debate.
Estimated Russian retaliation time: T-2 Days. Defense plans are on the way. The former Russian command FOB has been marked as the best defensive position. Command has approved the use of one M1 Abrams and a AA vehicle to aid the defense.
With the help of UAVs it was observed that the Russians are preparing waves of infantry augmented by armor. Multiple bombers have been seen being prepared, assessment: Fighter support approved. Multiple helicopters being prepared, command presumes that paratroopers will be used for rapid insertion as well as attack helicopters.
Badger special forces objectives:
-You are given access to one american M1A1 Abrams and one ZSU-23-V4 AA vehicle
-The FOB also has a number of gun emplacements that you are allowed to move as you please
-Enemies are not expected to come from behind but still be on your guard
-Expect a lot of armor and aircraft to be coming your way
-The russians are pissed for what you have done! Once the battle starts you won’t get much of a breather
-The infantry shall be moved with a chinook to the location, while the vehicles will have to be driven to the FOB. Enemy encounters on the way to the FOB are unlikely so concentrate on reaching the destination as fast as possible
-There is no UAV coverage, the russians have deployed jammers and we don’t have the resources to send manned scouts, there are spotters dotted around but the info they can offer is limited
